bet365 review: still the first name on the team sheet?
The biggest football market list in the UK, live streaming built in, and an app that copes with Saturday at 2.59pm. Here’s what it’s like to use, from a fan’s point of view.
Match ratings
Our default bookie for football, if you use it on your own terms
For depth of football markets, in-play and built-in streaming, nobody in the UK beats bet365 week in, week out. From Premier League player shots to League Two corners, it’s almost all there. The welcome offer is fair rather than eye-catching, and there’s no loyalty scheme.
The flipside of having every market is that there’s always another bet to place. Set a deposit limit the day you join.

The welcome offerBet £10, get £30, in plain English
No promo code is needed. You deposit, place qualifying bets to the value of your deposit, and once they settle bet365 adds Free Bets as Bet Credits. Here’s how that works in practice:
- 1Open an account through our link and pass the age and ID checks. You must be 18 or over.
- 2Deposit £10 with an eligible payment method. Some methods don’t qualify, and credit cards can’t be used for gambling in Great Britain.
- 3Place £10 of qualifying bets at or above the minimum odds in the terms. Win or lose, they qualify once they settle.
- 4Receive £30 in Bet Credits. Back a team at 2/1 with £10 of them and a winner returns £20, not £30, because the Bet Credits stake isn’t included.
The catch: Bet Credits expire if you don’t use them in time, and the minimum odds and expiry window can change. Check bet365’s current terms before you deposit.
“Every market in the world doesn’t mean every market is value.“
Saturday 3pmThe matchday test
We put bet365 through a normal Saturday. The 12.30 kick-off streamed in the app without a hitch, and the Bet Builder let us combine a result, a corners line and a player’s shots in a few taps. At 3pm, with eight games on, the in-play page updated quickly, and the match tracker showed attacking pressure clearly.
Two features matter for football fans. Early Payout settles certain pre-match bets as winners if your team goes two goals ahead, on eligible markets only. Super Boosts offer bigger prices on selected bets, but a better price doesn’t make the outcome any more likely. In-play is quick, and that cuts both ways: it’s easy to keep betting through the afternoon if you haven’t set a limit.
Beyond the footballOther sports
Outside football, bet365 is strong on tennis, horse racing, golf, darts, cricket and US sports, with deep each-way options on golf in particular. If you bet on more than football, it’s the most complete all-rounder we’ve reviewed.
PaymentsGetting money in and out
Deposits start at £5 and most are instant. Withdrawals usually go back to the method you deposited with, and timings depend on that method. Complete your ID checks early so your first withdrawal isn’t held up. Credit cards can’t be used with any operator licensed in Great Britain.
